Of course, tensions exist. The word <em data-start=\"305\" data-end=\"315\">\u201cboomer\u201d<\/em> sometimes flies around, Gen X find Gen Y too questioning, and Zoomers too impatient or disloyal. But these frictions, far from being an obstacle, can become sparks of creativity. Because it is not age that matters: it is the way each person sees the world.    <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"576\" data-end=\"965\">And this world is changing fast. By 2030, 65% of jobs do not yet exist, half of today\u2019s skills will be obsolete within two years, and only 13% of European employees report being engaged, according to Gallup. Disengagement, meanwhile, costs an average of \u20ac12,600 per employee per year. Faced with such turbulence, intergenerational collaboration is no longer an option: it is a necessity.   <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1022\">Generations, but above all Systems of Values<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1024\" data-end=\"1355\">At P\u2019OP, our research over more than ten years shows that a generational profile cannot be reduced to a date of birth, but rather to a worldview, a system of values. Baby Boomers carry a strong sense of duty, Generation X values anchoring and autonomy, Generation Y seeks meaning, and Generation Z embodies the urgency of change. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1357\" data-end=\"1769\">These differences became even more pronounced after 2020, in a world that turned <em data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1444\">FANI<\/em> (fragile, anxious, non-linear, incomprehensible). Covid, lockdowns, and both social and personal upheavals reshaped every generation. Even when they share the same educational values, they no longer approach collaboration in the same way. Recognizing this reality is essential to manage with professionalism and coherence.   <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1776\" data-end=\"1821\">A Concrete Example in a <em data-start=\"1804\" data-end=\"1819\">Maison Relais<\/em><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1823\" data-end=\"1878\">One morning in a <em data-start=\"1840\" data-end=\"1855\">maison relais<\/em> in Esch-sur-Alzette:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"2433\">\n<li data-start=\"1880\" data-end=\"1994\">\n<p data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1994\"><strong data-start=\"1882\" data-end=\"1893\">Monique<\/strong>, a Baby Boomer educator, ensures each activity is carefully planned and that children feel secure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1995\" data-end=\"2123\">\n<p data-start=\"1997\" data-end=\"2123\"><strong data-start=\"1997\" data-end=\"2006\">Carlo<\/strong>, Generation X, takes the initiative to reorganize the outdoor space for play, without waiting for formal approval.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2124\" data-end=\"2274\">\n<p data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2274\"><strong data-start=\"2126\" data-end=\"2136\">Sophie<\/strong>, Generation Y, insists that new activities foster inclusion for multilingual children: <em data-start=\"2224\" data-end=\"2272\">\u201cEvery child must find meaning in what we do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2275\" data-end=\"2433\">\n<p data-start=\"2277\" data-end=\"2433\"><strong data-start=\"2277\" data-end=\"2285\">Lina<\/strong>, a Generation Z trainee, suggests creating a quick online survey for parents\u2019 feedback and films a short video to share daily life with families.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2435\" data-end=\"2730\">Each acts according to generational reflexes. Yet instead of blocking each other, the team combines strengths: Monique\u2019s rigor, Carlo\u2019s autonomy, Sophie\u2019s sense of purpose, and Lina\u2019s digital agility. Together, they build a more inclusive and better-connected educational project for families.  <\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"2791\">A Challenge, but also an Opportunity for Leaders<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2793\" data-end=\"2871\">Why is managing multigenerational teams both a challenge and an opportunity?<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2873\" data-end=\"3355\">\n<li data-start=\"2873\" data-end=\"2990\">\n<p data-start=\"2875\" data-end=\"2990\">It\u2019s a challenge if we remain prisoners of stereotypes or attempt to micromanage every style, risking unfairness.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2991\" data-end=\"3355\">\n<p data-start=\"2993\" data-end=\"3355\">But it\u2019s an opportunity if we know how to identify generational profiles and individual talents. They \u201cmutate\u201d without renouncing their identity, becoming natural mediators and facilitators. They fluidify teamwork and transform opposition into connection. And when the gap is wide \u2013 for example, between BB and Gen Z \u2013 the door opens for mentoring and reverse mentoring, that famous give-and-take where everyone learns from each other.   <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"3905\" data-end=\"4356\">From the confrontations between X and Y also emerge <strong data-start=\"3962\" data-end=\"3982\">&#8220;bridge profiles&#8221;<\/strong>: people who, after many misunderstandings and disputes, move towards each other and develop further without giving up their own identity. They become natural mediators who harmonize teams and transform opposites into connections.
