Where generations intersect and cultures open, the true transformative richness of organizations emerges.

Last week, the Association des directeurs de maisons de repos de la région Bruxelles-Capitale and ERAP-GSOB.BRUSSELS hosted a vibrant day of exchange and reflection.

My contribution focused on showing how intergenerational dynamics naturally generate powerful interculturality — and how, even with limited resources, this diversity of ages, backgrounds and intelligences can become a genuine driver of more human, more effective and more sustainable practices.

  1. The nursing home as a human ecosystem in transition

  2. Intergenerational talents

  3. Welcoming and activating the NextGen

  4. Building intergenerational bridges

  5. Re-engagement as a multi-sensory journey

Participant feedback confirmed how much this approach opens new perspectives for a sector seeking meaning, balance and recognition.

The day was beautifully enriched by the contributions of Pierre-Alain Scharff, who shed light on major megatrends, and Jean-Marc Desmet, who offered an inspiring vision of compassionate management. Two complementary viewpoints that elevated the collective reflection.

My heartfelt thanks to all those who, every day, help this sector evolve with heart, clarity and courage. ❤️‍🩹💖

Gratitude as well to the association’s board, and to Aline Vermote and Valérie Dierkens for their invitation and thoughtful organization.
